Department. East Brunswick, NJ location.


Title is: Employment Consultant. Location is: East Brunswick, NJ
FT, M-F: 8:30am - 5pm


REQUIRED SKILLS:


Six years of direct recruiting experience. Preference if the candidates has
experience in a contingency or retained search environment.


Must be able to comprehend business structure and terminology for areas
supported. Course work in Employment law is critical. Public speaking and
negotiation skills provide greater potential for success in networking, and
candidate offer negotiation.

Must have a sales and customer service orientation. Undergraduate degree or
equivalent work experience. Requires marketing, planning, networking and
negotiating skills. Must have knowledge of EEO and employment related laws.
Technical competence with database management software (such as Resumix),
word processing software and Lotus Notes is preferred. Internet skills are
desirable. Recruitment experience in banking and/or with diversified job
categories a plus.


JOB DESCRIPTION:


Serves as primary recruiter for several business segments and lines of
business.


Sources and recruits qualified candidates for PNC assigned business
segment and/or line of business job openings. Develops comprehensive
knowledge of business unit job profiles, and investigates, evaluates and
utilizes sourcing channels that produce candidates that match open job
profiles.


Conducts pre-screening before referral to line management. Ensures
accurate tracking of all candidates (sourcing through offer steps).
Researches and communicates potential Affirmative Action utilization
needs to business management. Acts as a PNC representative for assigned
community groups and report progress relative to community outreach
initiatives.


Contacts hiring managers to ensure understanding of hiring needs,
critical job competencies and hiring parameters (i.e., starting pay
range, incentive eligibility, affirmative action utilization goals).
Ensures understanding of hiring managers' staffing needs. Solicits ideas
on sources for recruiting. Provides an opportunity for recruiter to set
expectations for next steps with manager.


Networks and communicates job openings. Coordinates advertising format
and placement (newspaper, journal, posting or internet channels) if
necessary. Continually discusses position qualifications with networking
sources and potential candidates.


Educates hiring managers on effective and legal interview techniques,
affirmative action utilization, and employment policies and procedures.


Extends and negotiates job offers, ensures compliance with all
pre-employment testing.
